FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Start & Finish

Your retreat begins at 5.00 pm on Day 1 of the retreat with a welcoming group circle and/or a yoga class, followed by dinner and ends on Day 7 after breakfast.

When should I book?

We offer early bird discounts for signing up before certain dates, so the earlier you sign up the better your price may be. Don't forget to sign up to our newsletter and be the first to know about our release dates and exclusive offers to our members. Check the specific trip you are interested in to make sure you sign up before the next deadline!

Do I need to book my own flight?

You are responsible for booking your own flights, although we can help you choose the best option or book them for you at an extra cost.

Each trip will have suggested arrival and departure details based on when we know you need to be in the airport and you can always send us the itinerary before booking if you want to double check it’s correct!

Where do I fly into and when?

Usually, your first point of entry in Greece will be the Athens International Airport. For Ikaria, you will fly to Ikaria Airport.

Do I have to book my own transfer?

No. We always cover one scheduled transfer on check-in - usually at 3pm and one scheduled transfer on check out - around 12am to all guests in the retreat. This is included in our package. The retreat management can happily arrange a cab or van for trips to and from the airport outside these free shuttles at an extra cost.

Can I arrive early and stay late?

You will need to purchase your flights in order to arrive/depart by given dates and time ranges for your specific trip. If you choose to arrive earlier or later than given day/time you will be responsible for the cost of transportation needed to join up with the group. We always encourage you to to explore the area, if that option is available to you.

What is the level of yoga?

We welcome yogis of all levels, from absolute beginners to advanced practitioners. Yoga retreats are not just for the yogi who practices every day and can touch the floor with their elbows. Our retreats offer opportunities for growth and new experience, no matter how much time you have spent on your mat. Regardless, we suggest keeping an open mind and trying out practices that might be new to you.

How many classes will there be?

2 Yoga Classes daily plus any other workshops. 2-3 intuitive and healing sessions daily.

What are the visa requirements for Greece?

It's your responsibility to have valid travel documents so please ensure you have a valid passport & visa (if required for your country). From January 2021, nationals from 58 countries (find your country here) will be required to apply for ETIAS before traveling. You can find the requirements at the Schengen Visa Info web page.

We can't take responsibility for invalid travel documents or delayed, missed or lost flights. We highly recommend you take out your own travel insurance to mitigate any unexpected problems.

What should I pack for my sail trip?

We highly recommend you pack light with soft-sided carry-on only. Yachts have minimal storage space and you don’t need much in terms of clothing for the week so full-size luggage will not only crowd your space but be unwieldy to lug around. Check our blog for light travel packing tips and tricks.

Do I need to have cash with me?

Whilst our retreats are all-inclusive so you don’t need to carry money, not everywhere accepts credit cards. We highly recommend carrying around some Euros in the event you want to take a taxi or grab a local snack, an outfit or souvenir.

Finding a place to use a credit card in Greece is relatively easy given that it’s a major tourist destination. While larger establishments, such as hotels, bars and museums will mostly accept cards, smaller restaurants, hotels and shops may not.

Do I need travel insurance for my trip?

Travel insurance is mandatory if you decide to participate in any of our retreats. We will ask you to provide us a proof of travel insurance prior to your trip. You will not be able to join the group until we receive your insurance information.

When choosing a travel insurance policy we expect you to be covered for medical expenses including emergency evacuation and repatriation at a minimum.

A minimum coverage of USD200,000 is required. We strongly recommend that the policy also covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects. Some retreats include excursions & adventure activities that require extra coverage (e.g. scuba equipment); please review your itinerary and make sure that you are covered for all the  included activities.

If you have credit card insurance we require proof of purchase of the trip (a receipt of credit card statement) with a credit card in your name. Contact your bank for details of their participating insurer, the level of coverage and emergency contact telephone number.
